Review: John Puller is an investigator in the US Army’s CID. He’s be assigned to a case in West Virginia where a military family has been brutally murdered. Assisted by a local detective, Samantha Cole, Puller is up against the clock as the bodies are piling up.
This book had me changing my opinion constantly as to who done it! There are lots of twists and turns. John Puller is a very likable hero, who on the outside seems perfect (maybe a little too perfect), but you soon learn the emotional turmoil surrounding his relationships with his father and brother. This was a smooth and easy read with likable characters. Although the dialogue seems somewhat unnatural at times, I would say it’s a good book overall and Puller is worthy enough for me to read book #2 The Forgotten.
