Allegiant (Divergent #3)

Genre: Fiction, Sci-Fi, Young Adult, Romance

Review: Insurgent leaves us with a video explaining that there are people outside the city who need help from Divergents. Dauntless’ alliance with Evelyn and the factionless have brought an end to the war within the city gates, but no one knows what to expect outside. Tris and Christina have been imprisoned for treachery and Four has to get them out safely so that they can join the Allegiance and leave the city against Evelyn’s orders.

I liked hearing from Four’s perspective in this book as well as Tris’. It was nice to hear how Four was struggling with losing his mother for a second time and learning the truth about his divergence. Through the challenges that they face in this book Tris and Four learn who they are on a deeper level and their love matures as result. I particularly like how Roth doesn’t end this as a happily ever after story. The wars bring about the deaths of many loved characters and they are not forgotten. Thank you Veronica Roth for such a great series 🙂
